Today, Nanny ’n Me has grown into a structured, supported program used across communities and countries.

So I asked her, “Have you ever done this before?”
She hadn’t.

And in that moment, everything clicked.
​
It wasn’t about willingness.
It was about exposure, confidence, and guidance.

That week, I invited a few nannies from the neighbourhood into my lounge.
​
What started as a small play group quickly grew—
because the need was so clear.
​
Nannies wanted to learn.
Children responded.
And moms felt the difference.
Nanny ’n Me didn’t start as a business.
It started in my lounge.

I was a new mom and Occupational Therapist, juggling work and raising my first baby. We had a loving nanny—but I kept wondering:

“Is he being stimulated enough during the day?”
​
I would suggest activities—painting, puzzles, playdough.
But nothing really happened.
​
One day, I invited her to sit and paint with us.
​
Within minutes, something shifted.
She was completely absorbed—curious, engaged, enjoying it in a way I hadn’t seen before.
